Registration opens on Monday, March 18th at 9:30 a.m.
Please note that classes fill up extremely fast. It is crucial that you sign up for the correct class. Returning BBSF sailors MUST register for the class and time for which they were recommended. All new sailors must begin in our Mercury Program (6-8 year olds in 8-10am, 9-11 year olds in 10am-12pm and 12+ sailors in the 1-4 pm class). If your child is an experienced sailor, but new to BBSF, you must email the registrar prior to March 15th to determine the appropriate class spot.
Please read the following steps completely before beginning registration.
Registration requires the following:
1) The Class Registration Form:
Registration forms will be posted on this website when registration opens at 9:30 a.m. The form(s) should be submitted electronically by clicking on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will receive a confirmation that your form was submitted. When your registration is approved, you will receive a separate email from the registrar directing you to proceed to the next step - payment. Please note that this could take as long as 24 hours as each registration is processed individually, in the order in which they come in. If the class is full, you will receive an email letting you know that your name has been placed on a waitlist. We will do everything we can to accommodate as many sailors as possible.
Once you receive an email confirming your registration was approved, you will be directed to proceed to the next step - payment. You will have 24 hours to make the payment. Payment may be made either through PayPal or by mailing us a check. Space in each class is limited, and no spots in any class will be held while awaiting payment. Please note that PayPal charges us for each transaction. As a non-profit group, we do all we can to keep our costs down. Should you choose to use PayPal, you will notice that the price for each class has been increased to cover the charges we incur by PayPal. Checks MUST be postmarked within 24 hours of your confirmation email.
3) Receipt of three forms:
a) Sailor's Code of Conduct Form,
b) A Parental Waiver Form,
c) Emergency Authorization Form, and
d) Photo Release Form
All forms must be printed out, signed and mailed to BBSF, P.O. Box 609, Bellport, NY 11713. We are unable to accept any forms electronically. Please be sure to have sailors sign their Code of Conduct. All forms must be received by April 2nd or your class spot may be given to someone else. Thank you.
